By Ernst Wolff.
Last Tuesday, the U.S. Army General Staff issued a memorandum addressing the public in an unusual way. It strongly condemns the violent riots in Washington on Jan. 6 and announces that the U.S. military will obey lawful orders of civilian leadership and defend the Constitution of the United States against “all enemies, external and internal.”
In addition, the document states:
“On January 20, 2021, in accordance with the Constitution, confirmed by the states and the courts, and certified by Congress, President-elect Biden will be inaugurated and will become our 46th Commander in Chief“
Franklin D. Roosevelt:
“In politics, nothing happens by accident.”
The memorandum marks the preliminary culmination of a development at the end of which may be the assumption of power by the military in Washington. To understand this development, one should recall two sentences of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who already said in the 1930s: “In politics, nothing happens by chance. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way.” The politics of both Democrats and Republicans have been dominated for months by the dispute over the outcome of the U.S. election in November. Neither side misses an opportunity to systematically stir up this dispute. In this way, they are inflaming the mood among a population whose living conditions have deteriorated drastically in the recent past.
Unemployment in the USA is currently the highest since the Great Depression. The state, companies and private households are suffering from the heaviest debt burden of all time, the infrastructure is crumbling, the middle class is being driven to ruin by ever new pandemic measures, poverty and hunger are on the rise, and the increase in wealth of the ultra-rich is breaking all boundaries. This historically unprecedented explosion of social inequality has created social tensions that will almost certainly erupt in violence. The events of January 6 are likely to provide only a foretaste of what can be expected in the weeks and months ahead.
Instead of de-escalating in this delicate situation, Washington has been experiencing the opposite for weeks, with Republicans ranting about election fraud (from which they themselves benefited in 2000), inciting demonstrators to commit acts of violence, and then condemning them. The Democrats initiate impeachment proceedings a week before the change in the White House, which does not shorten the president’s term of office by a day, but systematically fuels the anger of his supporters. The digital corporations, in turn, are adding fuel to the fire by imposing ever harsher censorship on their social platforms. Taken as a whole, these measures are nothing more than deliberately lit fuses that are helping to explode the social barrel of the United States. If Roosevelt is right and this development is not accidental, then the goal is clearly to ignite a civil war, or at least civil unrest.
Pulling the strings in the background: the digital-financial complex
To understand why such violence is to be unleashed, one must look at the true center of power in the U.S.: the digital-financial complex headed by Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Google, and Facebook, and the major asset managers BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street, and Fidelity. This digital-financial complex has usurped more power in recent years and months than any force before it in the entire history of the United States. But even this power has its limits, and one such limit is currently being reached by the foundation on which this power rests: the global monetary system built around the dollar.
After 12 years of repeated revitalization by central banks, this system is showing increasing signs of collapse and can no longer be kept alive in the long term. The collapse of the stock markets at the turn of 2018/2019, the problems in the U.S. repo market in September 2019, and the renewed near-collapse of the global financial system in February/March 2020 have clearly shown that central banks’ options for future bailouts are largely exhausted. For this reason, a radical solution has apparently been opted for: According to reports from Washington, the new President Biden will announce a total lockdown lasting several months immediately after taking office and, together with his designated Treasury Secretary, former FED head Janet Yellen, the largest monetary injection to date, amounting to two trillion U.S. dollars. Under the plan, the banking system in its traditional form will be ended and money creation will be placed solely in the hands of the central bank. U.S. citizens are to have only one account directly with the FED in the future.
Why is social unrest needed?
But why is social unrest needed for this restructuring of the monetary system? For one simple reason: because the new monetary system means the complete subjugation of the entire population to the interests of the digital-financial complex. The latter will not only be informed about every single transaction, but will also be able to withhold payments, bind them to deadlines or even restrict them geographically. It will be able to arbitrarily charge negative interest rates, favor selected occupational groups, disadvantage others, make its payments dependent on behavioral codes, and completely isolate individual citizens financially. Digital central bank money no longer has anything in common with the money the world has known up to now and which has developed over centuries. Regardless of how democratic the constitution may be, it means the end of all democracy, because it hands citizens over to the unlimited arbitrariness and total control of the central bank and the digital corporations and financial companies that cooperate with it.
Under normal circumstances, the population would by no means accept the introduction of such money, but would certainly offer considerable resistance. Therefore, it seems that a different strategy was used: deliberately triggering a recession of the century, creating mass unemployment, promising aid payments but failing to meet the deadlines, and, in addition, creating political upheavals, setting different population groups against each other and triggering social unrest. By allowing the military to intervene in this situation and the central bank to distribute the new money as a universal basic income via emergency decrees, the government even manages to make both appear not as an act of coercion but as an act of humanity. The past nine months of supposedly fighting the pandemic have proven how well this strategy works: The measures that have lowered the standard of living of nearly two billion people, driven 130 million into hunger and destroyed millions of livelihoods forever, are presented to the world public by bought politicians, journalists and scientists to this day as “protection against a disease.”
